TIE Bomber (T/B)
The TIE Bomber is a slow T/F who can take about four times more hits than it.
Although it's slower, flying it is very similar to T/F. You have to stay quite
long on target to finish him off, hits on your own can't be avoided but again
the timing is the factor that can be perfectly trained in offline melees set
to hard. When you hit your opponent about four to five times with your linked
lasers he will be gone. So if you aim exactly (always look at the lower middle
point of your target cross), shoot about five to six laser shots and if you targeted
right he will be gone, that means MOVE after those shots, dodging up and down
helps best. If he is not finished yet turn back and give him the rest, but remember,
if his hull is down to 40% two shots finish him off, so don't stay on too long
when you have to turn back on him. If he is still alive in to a distance of
about 0.8 clicks, switch to single laser, the faster frequency will give you an advantage
at this distance. The same thing rules if he reappears in such a short distance
after you have finished him. In such short distances, you can even finish him
if your ship is already damaged and his is totally intact. If you ever come
to spinning around with your opponent in T/B, minimize your lasers as far as
possible to do a quick turn, it depends on the angel on which you get back on
him after the turn whether you have to use single or linked lasers to finish
him off and of course on the lag. BUT, sometimes it is wiser not to start spinning
around with T/B, if another one is in reach, get on him, and rely on the strength
of your hull and the time it takes your direct opponent to do a turn that will
give you the moments to make one more kill.
